Although MMT’s focus remains tried and true — engineer, build, maintain and manage — that doesn’t mean we aren’t adding some new elements to freshen up the content, engage the reader and point out essential educational articles to help you train your next generation of moldmaking professionals.

Here’s what is new in 2023 for MMT readers:
2023-2026 Editorial Advisory Board Members: MoldMaking Technology is a media brand for the industry by the industry, so the editorial team has always relied on an Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) to help guide the direction of its content. This board comprises professionals with varying levels of experience and expertise within their respective businesses, industries, technology and careers.
The board serves as our boots on the ground for identifying the appropriate technology, trends and challenges we should cover. We use this board because you are the experts in your field, not us. We are here to serve you by helping you share your knowledge and stories.
The pandemic greatly impacted the previous board’s term — limiting communication, meetings and travel — so I extended the term of a few interested in continuing their service. In addition to those three, the response to my request for new candidates for the 2023-2026 term was considerable — providing an impressive group from which I pulled together a balanced board of moldmaking professionals across North America who represent various ages, genders, job functions, mold types and end markets. This EAB column throughout this year will introduce one new member each month, allowing you to not only learn about their industry experience but a little about their passions and personal background.
#ICYMI (In Case You Missed It) will present content that you may have missed via QR codes you can scan to read the full stories spotlighted.
FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) will spotlight commonly asked questions about the various technologies, processes and strategies used in moldmaking, along with their answers and additional sources of information via QR codes.
You can find these new/improved columns in the MMT January 2023 digital edition.
Finally, Polls will be launched across our social and digital channels to get the pulse of the industry on various hot topics, pain points, interests, technologies and trends. In addition, we will feature the results of each poll and house archives on the MMT website.
Happy reading!
