KUKA Robotics presents the Cube cell for easy, end-of-line robotic palletizing. The cell from KUKA partner Focus Integration, featuring a KUKA KR50-R2500 palletizing robot, is designed for lines where conveyance is too costly or production rates are too low for justifying the investment of a centralized palletizing system.
Whether mounted on the floor, on a wall, in an inclined position or in cell application like the Cube, KUKA’s KR50-R2500 robot combines a compact design with optimum use of space. Equipped with a waterproof and dustproof inline wrist and protected motors, the robot is well suited for practically every application, providing low maintenance requirements and high dependability.
With a compact and portable 48" × 96" footprint, the ready-to-run Cube ships on a single platform and can be installed within hours. The cell’s FlexPal software from KUKA enables quick and easy programming of new case sizes along with pallet patterns. Users simply enter case data and select the pallet pattern from intuitive, on-screen prompts.
Offered in six layout configurations, including a stainless steel wash-down variant, the Cube provides up to a 100" load height capacity, a 50-kg payload and a 15-picks/minute palletizing rate. Pre-mounted 7'-high fence panels ensure complete safety compliance, as do safety zone scanners and light curtains.
Optional slip-sheet handling is available for the Cube, and the cell can be completely conveyorized. For load-handling flexibility, users can choose from single or dual venturi vacuum grippers, clamshell bag grippers and mechanical pail grippers.
